You’ll find Srigopalkrishak Producer Company Limited over in Naya Tola, Naugachia. We are set up at Narda Devi’s house in Ward No. 23. It’s a busy part of town, and there’s always something going on in the streets. We don't have a big corporate headquarters or anything like that. Our workspace is just a couple of rooms where we can keep our records and meet with the local growers. Most of the people who come by are our friends and neighbors. We started this company because we wanted to have a better way to handle the crops grown around Naugachia. The office can get a bit disorganized with all the paperwork and samples lying around, but we know where everything is. We don't have any secretaries or fancy coffee machines. We just have a kettle and some local tea. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so the fan is always running, even if it makes a lot of noise. We spend our days talking to the farmers, checking on the quality of the harvest, and trying to find the best way to get things to market. It’s a lot of stress sometimes, especially when the prices drop, but we manage. We’ve all lived here for a long time, so we understand how things work. We’re not trying to be something we’re not. We’re just a group of local people working hard to keep our farms going.
