Sainath Traders

Sainath Traders is located over in Village Post Tarapur. We’re right near the petrol pumps, so there’s always a bit of a smell of fuel and noise from the trucks. It’s a busy part of the Munger district. We’ve been here for a while, just running our daily business. People usually stop by while they’re getting their tanks filled. It’s a practical location for us. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of the pumps and the traffic going by. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. There’s a counter and some shelves. We handle a variety of things depending on what the locals are asking for that month. Sometimes we’re short on stock, but we try to get things in as fast as the delivery trucks allow. It gets dusty being so close to the road. We usually spend the first part of the morning sweeping out the front. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We know the guys working at the petroleum station well. Sometimes we share a tea in the afternoon when things slow down. It’s just a regular village shop lifestyle. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Just Sainath Traders, sitting by the road in Tarapur, doing our bit. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the bench until it comes back. It's just part of being out here in Munger.
