Bala Ji Traders

We are located on Shitala Mandir Road in Naugachhia. Our shop, Bala Ji Traders, is very close to the Shitala Mandir itself, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day. It’s a busy road, especially during festivals when the street is packed with people and vendors. Because of the location, we have to be careful about how we park our delivery rickshaws so they don’t block the flow of traffic. The shop is a bit of a narrow space, so we’ve had to get creative with how we stack our goods on the walls. We carry a lot of different trading items that the local builders and homeowners ask for. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little bit, and we have to put boards down so people can walk inside without getting muddy. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s our place and we’ve been here for years. I usually sit near the front to greet people as they come in. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or big banners to get attention. Most of our customers come from the nearby neighborhoods because they’ve known us for a long time. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves, moving sacks and crates from the back to the front when needed. It’s tired work, but seeing the shop full of stock makes me feel like we’re doing something useful. We just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful.
