Bhaya Haran Farmer Producer Company Limited

Bhaya Haran Farmer Producer Company Limited is run out of Bhayaharan Singh’s home at House Number 19/Bha in Chaubhaiya. It’s a small village in the Naiwashi part of Huzoorpur. This isn't some big operation with a lobby or a secretary. It’s just Bhayaharan’s house where we gather to talk about the fields and the crops. We all live around here, and we’ve been working the dirt since we were kids. Forming this group was just a way to try and help each other out with the costs of seeds and the trouble of getting our goods to the bigger markets. Huzoorpur can be a tough place to farm if the weather doesn't cooperate, but having a group makes the bad years a little easier to handle. We don’t use any complicated words or have big meetings with slides. We just sit on the porch or in the yard and figure things out. Sometimes we share tips on how to handle the water or what fertilizer worked well for someone last year. It’s all very local and down to earth. We are just a bunch of neighbors in Chaubhaiya who figured that if we pooled our resources, we might have a better shot at a decent harvest. There is always something to do, whether it’s weeding, tilling, or fixing a fence. We just keep at it, day in and day out, at house 19/Bha.
