Human Agriculture Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Sarai Liliphoolpur, and Brijesh Kumar is the one who helps keep everything in order at his place. We call ourselves Human Agriculture because we wanted to remind everyone that it’s real people behind the crops, not just some big machine. We’re all just farmers from this area who decided that we should probably start looking out for each other. It’s not always easy, especially when the market prices go up and down and we aren't sure what’s going to happen. We spend most of our time out in the sun, so when we get together at Brijesh’s, we’re usually pretty tired. We talk about the soil, the water, and how we can get a bit more from our small plots of land. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some basic math and a lot of trust in our neighbors. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it’s supposed to, and we all have to scramble to figure out a plan B. That’s just the way it is with farming. We try to help our members get their crops to the market in Phoolpur or further away if the price is better. It’s a simple life, and we don't expect much more than a fair return for the hard work we put into the ground every single day. We're just trying to make it through the season.
