Amardivya Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Kanpa village in the Sultanpur district. We operate out of Amar Bahdur’s place, which serves as our main office and meeting spot. Sultanpur is a place where farming is the lifeblood of almost everyone you meet. We aren't a big city firm with shiny cars and suits. We are just local people who know the land and want to work it together. Amar Bahdur has been a part of this community forever, so it made sense to start the company at his location. The office is very basic, just a few chairs and a table where we keep our records. We spend most of our time worrying about the monsoon and whether the crops will be good this year. We don't have any polished slogans or mission statements. We are just trying to survive and maybe do a little better for our families each year. The roads in Kanpa can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, but we are used to it. We don't pretend to be something we aren't. We are just a group of producers who decided that we are stronger if we work together. If you come by the village, just ask for Amar’s place and someone will point you in the right direction. We usually have a pot of tea going and we’re happy to talk about the local farming scene.
