Weavers Society Sarees

Weavers Society Sarees is situated at 510/9 on the 1st floor of the Murgan Building. This is right in Crawford Market on Avenue Road. It’s a very busy part of town, and we’ve been here for a while now. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of the space by stacking the sarees up. Being in the Murgan Building, we are surrounded by other shops and people working hard. We spend most of our day on the first floor, so we see a lot of people coming up and down those stairs. The Crawford Market area has a lot of history and it’s always crowded with shoppers and sellers. We just focus on our sarees. There isn't any special trick to how we work. We just open the doors, wait for people to come in, and show them what we have on the shelves. Sometimes the fabric is heavy and sometimes it’s light, and we know where everything is kept. The street noise from Avenue Road is just a part of the background here that we've gotten used to. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. People mostly find us by walking through the market or hearing about us from someone else who shopped here. It is a basic shop for people who need sarees, and we like keeping it that way without any extra stress.
