Weaver Shop

You can find us at number 15 on Jaya Chamarajendra Road. Most people just call it JC Road. We have been here for quite a while now. The shop is pretty basic. We do not have air conditioning or big display windows. It is more about the work we do with the looms. When you walk in, you can usually hear the sound of things moving in the back. We focus on traditional weaving, trying to keep those old methods alive without making a big deal out of it. It is just what we do. The street outside is always full of traffic and mechanics, so it is a bit of a contrast when you step inside. We have piles of yarn and half-finished pieces laying around. It is not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. We do not really do much in terms of marketing. If someone needs something woven or wants to buy direct, they just show up. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little corner at number 15 stays pretty much the same. It is a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep the fabrics clean. It is a lot of manual work and long hours, especially when we have a big order to finish. We are just a small team of people who like working with our hands.
