Vishwakala Dance School

Our school, Vishwakala Dance School, is at No. 29 in Marathahalli. It’s a pretty lively area of Bangalore, so there’s always something going on outside. The studio is just a few rooms we’ve set up for the classes. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. There are mirrors, some mats, and a sound system that’s seen better days but still plays the music loud enough for everyone to hear. Marathahalli is usually packed with traffic, so we hear the honking all day long. It’s just part of being in this neighborhood. The building at No. 29 isn't hard to find if you know the area. We’ve got a small space where kids can leave their shoes before they come inside. It’s a very casual environment. We aren't one of those super polished academies you see in the city center. It’s more of a community feel here. We’ve known some of the families for many years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually more concerned with the dancing than the decor. Some days it gets a bit cramped when the classes overlap, but we manage to make it work. We’re just local people teaching what we know. If you’re looking for a shiny corporate studio, this isn't it. It’s just a honest, hardworking space at Marathahalli No. 29. We like the energy here. It’s busy and loud, just like the rest of the neighborhood.
