George Mathews Music School

George Mathews Music School is inside the We Fitness Premises at No.1. We are situated on the 18th Cross and 23rd Main Road in JP Nagar 5th Phase. It’s a bit of a unique setup because we share the space with a gym. You often hear the sounds of music blending with the hum of the fitness machines. I’ve been here for a while and I’ve gotten used to the constant activity. The 5th Phase is a busy area, and the 23rd Main Road always has a lot of traffic moving through it. We have a few rooms dedicated to different instruments. You’ll find guitars leaning against walls and keyboards set up on stands. It’s not a polished studio; it’s a working space where people come to practice. The lighting is just standard overhead bulbs, and the walls are covered with some basic soundproofing foam in some spots. People come in at all hours for their lessons, so there is a revolving door of students. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in, find your teacher, and start playing. It’s a local spot for people in JP Nagar who want to learn a bit of music without any pressure. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just keep playing until it comes back on. It is a simple place for music.
