Village Restaurant

If you walk along 100ft Road in Indiranagar, you will see the MSK Plaza building right where things stay busy. We are situated on the terrace of that building, right above the Cafe Coffee Day. It is a bit of a climb or a lift ride up, but once you are on the roof, the noise from the Bangalore traffic feels a little further away. We have been operating Village Restaurant here for quite some time. The terrace gets a good breeze in the evenings which is nice because this city can get stuffy. We spend a lot of our time moving chairs around and making sure the plants on the deck are watered. It is a strange view from up here, looking down at all the people shopping and the cars jammed up near the junction. The kitchen is tucked away in the corner and it stays pretty hot in there most of the day. We don't do much in terms of fancy decorations or anything like that. The tables are basic and the setup is meant for people who just want to sit outside for a bit. We get a lot of office workers during the week and then a different crowd comes in when the sun sets. Running a restaurant on a terrace has its challenges, especially when it rains suddenly, but we have a rhythm down now.
