You can find us over on Residency Road, right next to the Gateway Hotel. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise from the cars and bikes outside. We focus on Andhra style cooking, which means things can get a bit spicy in the kitchen. We spend a lot of time making pickles and sorting through chilies. The lunch hour is usually a bit of a scramble because everyone from the nearby offices comes in at once. We don't have a lot of space for people to lounge around, so it’s more about eating and getting back to work. Some days the heat in the kitchen is almost too much, but we get used to it. We use a lot of rice and traditional spices that we get from specific suppliers. It’s not a polished corporate place with fancy uniforms. We wear what’s comfortable and focus on the stove. If a dish isn't right, we notice it before it even leaves the kitchen. We’ve seen Residency Road change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. People come here because they know what to expect. No surprises, just the same flavors every time. It’s hard work standing on your feet all day, but when the dining room is full, it feels worth it. We just keep our heads down and cook.
