A E C S Community Hall

A E C S Community Hall is over at 35 Sanjay Nagar in the 560094 area. It’s a place that gets used for all sorts of things like small weddings, birthday parties, and local meetings. I spend a lot of time here just checking the lights and making sure the floor is swept after an event is finished. The hall isn't the most modern building you will see in Bangalore but it serves the neighborhood well. People like it because it is right there in Sanjay Nagar and they don't have to travel too far. We have a simple system for booking and we try to keep the calendar updated so there aren't any overlaps. Sometimes the neighbors complain if the music is a bit too loud late at night so we have to watch out for that. It’s a lot of work managing the chairs and making sure the bathrooms are clean for the next group. We don't really do any fancy marketing; usually, people just walk in or call us because they live nearby. The building has been here for years and has seen a lot of different families celebrate various things. It feels good to provide a space where the local community can just gather and do their thing without too much fuss. It is just a plain hall that does what it needs to do. Most days it is quiet until the weekend comes.
