Airlines Drive In Restaurant is sitting at No. 4, Madras Bank Road, right there on Lavelle Road in Bangalore. It is one of those places that has stayed pretty much the same while the rest of the city changed around it. We have these big old trees that provide a lot of shade, which is why people like to drive their cars in and just sit there. Our staff has been here for a long time, and they know where everything is. We start the coffee machines early in the morning, and that smell is the first thing you notice when you walk onto the lot. It’s not like those modern cafes with fancy sofas; we just have the outdoor space and some simple seating. You can see businessmen, students, and families all mixed together throughout the day. We spend our time taking orders to the cars or serving people at the stone tables. The traffic on Lavelle Road can get quite heavy, but inside the gate, it feels a bit more relaxed. We don't have any special music playing or big advertisements. We just focus on the food and the coffee and making sure everyone gets their order. Sometimes the service is a bit slower when every car spot is full, but people don't seem to mind the wait under the trees. It’s just a classic Bangalore spot where we work every day.
