Our place is a bit of a constant in the middle of all that fast development. The school building is easy to find if you follow the signs toward Vittasandra. It’s a place where children spend their hours drawing, playing, and sometimes just napping in the afternoons. The rooms aren't huge, but they have enough space for the little chairs and tables we use every day. Every day follows a similar pattern of arrivals and departures. The dust from the nearby construction sometimes settles on the windows, so we have to wipe them down more often than we'd like. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We don't have a giant corporate lobby; you just walk in and see the cubbies where the kids keep their bags and shoes. The teachers are usually busy setting up snacks or cleaning up after a craft project involving glue and glitter. It’s a noisy, lively spot that keeps everyone on their toes. Being in Electronic City means a lot of parents work nearby, so there is always someone dropping off a forgotten lunch box or picking a child up early for a doctor's visit. It’s just a local school serving the families living and working around this part of Bengaluru day in and day out.
