Venus Dance Academy

You can find us on the second floor at 318, 100 Feet Road in Vidya Nagar. It’s a busy road, so there’s always a lot of activity outside. I remember moving the big mirrors up those stairs; it was quite a task. The stairs are a bit steep, I know, but once you get up here, there’s a decent amount of space to move around. We started Venus Dance Academy because we wanted a place in this neighborhood where people could just come and dance without feeling any pressure. The studio isn't some high-tech facility with special lighting or soundproofing. It’s just a large, open room with a wooden floor where we can move around. You can hear the traffic from the road below, but once the music starts, nobody really cares. I spend quite a bit of time every morning sweeping the floor and making sure the mirrors are clean. It’s a simple, honest business. We have all sorts of people coming in, from little kids to older adults who just want to keep moving. We don’t have a receptionist or a sales team. If you call, you’re probably talking to me. We focus on the basics of dance and just enjoying the rhythm. Most of our students live nearby and saw our sign while driving along 100 Feet Road. We don't put on big shows. We just practice hard and have a good time together.
