Our place is at 147 Prakash Nagar, right on the 13th Main Road. If you know the area, you know we are quite close to the Sumathi Kalyana Mandapa. When there is a wedding going on there, the whole street fills up with cars and music. We can hear the drums while we are working on the machines. It is a busy little spot. We do a lot of industrial work here, mostly making parts and handling materials. The shop floor is always a bit messy with metal shavings and oil. I’ve lived around here long enough to remember when the road was much quieter. Now, it is a constant stream of bikes and autos. The building itself is older, with high ceilings and big windows that let in some light, though they are usually pretty grimy. We have a heavy steel door that we pull shut every evening. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years. We know each other's habits and how we like our coffee. It isn't a corporate environment by any stretch. We wear old clothes and don't mind getting our hands dirty. Sometimes a neighbor stops by to borrow a tool or just to chat for five minutes. We keep the machines running and try to keep up with the orders that come in. It is honest work in a loud, busy part of town where things are always moving.
