Vasanthalakshmi Engineering Works

You can find us over on Doddakalasandra Station Road at number 19-169/2. It’s a pretty busy street with people heading to the station all the time. Our workshop isn't very large, but we manage to fit all the tools we need inside. We spend most of our time dealing with iron rods and welding frames together. There is always a smell of burnt metal in the air. It’s a bit of a messy place, to be honest. We have tools hanging on the walls and piles of scrap metal in the corners that we keep meaning to clear out. My brother and I started this a while back because there was a lot of building going on around here. We fix gates, window grills, and sometimes people bring in random things from their houses that need a bit of welding. The tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break from the noise. It gets quite loud when the cutting machines are going. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. People just know where we are and bring their work over. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but you can still see the name clearly enough. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We just focus on getting the welds straight and the measurements right for whatever job is on the table that day. It's hard work but it's okay.
