Vasanth Engineering Works

Vasanth Engineering Works is located at 26/1 Srirampuram, inside the Sing Estate. It’s an older industrial area, so there’s a lot of history in these walls. We’ve got machines that have been running for many years and they still do the job just fine for us. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, which is pretty typical for a workshop like ours. It’s definitely not a place for wearing suits or fancy clothes. We do a lot of manual work here, fixing things and making custom parts for people. It gets quite loud when all the machines are going at once, so you often have to raise your voice to be heard. Sing Estate has a lot of small businesses like ours, so there’s always some activity and noise in the narrow lanes. Finding the right door can be a bit tricky if you haven’t been here before, as the numbering is odd. We don’t have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the front door just wipes their hands on a rag and sees who it is. We’ve been in Srirampuram for a long time and know most of the people working around here. It’s a steady, slow pace of work. We don’t do anything flashy or modern, just the engineering tasks that come our way each week. It’s honest work and we’re happy to keep the machines running day after day. It keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
