Varalakshmi Engineering Enterprises

We’ve been here in Doorvani Nagar for a while now, right near the bus stop. Most days it’s pretty noisy in here with the machines running constantly. Varalakshmi Engineering Enterprises has been around for a bit. We mostly handle various engineering jobs that come our way from the local area. There’s usually metal shavings on the floor. The smell of oil is always around. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out. That’s just how it is in this part of town. Our workshop isn't fancy at all. It’s got high ceilings and big doors that stay open. We get a bit of a breeze that way. We spend a lot of time looking at parts and trying to fix things that people bring in. It's not just about the big machines though. We do a lot of small manual stuff too. If you walk past the bus stop, you can usually hear the grinding or the welding going on. We keep ourselves busy with whatever work shows up at the door. Some days are packed and we’re here until late evening. Other days we have time to sit and drink some tea. We don’t have any big signs or anything. It's just the usual workshop setup. The walls are a bit stained from years of work. We know where everything is kept. It’s a practical place for practical work, nothing more than that.
