Vanita School Of Dance

Our dance school is located at V-28 in Domlur. It’s not a massive studio with shiny walls, but we have enough space for a group to get together and move. We started this because we just really liked dancing and wanted a place in the neighborhood to share that. You can hear the music spilling out onto the street some evenings when we have the windows open to catch a breeze. The floor is made of wood and it’s got plenty of marks from all the shoes over the years. We don't mind that because it shows people are actually practicing. We get all sorts of students, from little kids who can't stand still to older people who just want to keep their legs moving. We don't run things like a strict academy. If someone misses a step or falls over, we just laugh it off and try the move again. It’s a relaxed atmosphere here. We spend a fair bit of time sweeping up dust because the road outside is quite busy. Most people find us because they live in Domlur and saw our sign or heard about us from a neighbor. We keep the music player on a little shelf in the corner. It’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. We’re usually here in the afternoons and evenings when the classes start. It’s just a nice local spot for dance.
