Kalasipalyam is always a bit of a chaotic mess, and Shivam Lane is no different. We are tucked away at number 203. If you come by, you’ll likely see a lot of heavy sacks and maybe some smell of fertilizer in the air. We’ve been operating United Agro Solutions from this spot for a good while. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything. It’s mostly just desks covered in invoices and samples of seeds. We spend a lot of our time talking to guys who come in from the rural areas looking for stuff for their farms. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there in the dark waiting for it to come back on. It’s part of the deal. We deal with a lot of logistics, trying to make sure the right bags get on the right trucks. It’s physical work and your clothes get dirty by noon. We don’t really have a big public face. Most of our business is just people who have been buying from us for a decade. The lane is so narrow that sometimes the trucks get stuck, and then there’s a whole lot of shouting outside our window. We just try to get the orders filled and stay out of the way. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just selling tools and supplies that people actually need to grow their crops. It is just honest work.
