Down here at F-63 Rajajinagar, things are always a bit loud. That’s just how it is when you’re dealing with tools and components like we do at Ujjwal Tools. The machines run most of the day and there is always that smell of oil and cut metal in the air. It’s not a clean place, my hands are usually a bit stained by lunch time, but that’s the nature of the work. We’ve been in this shed for a long time. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we moved the important stuff away from those spots. We aren't trying to be some big corporate office with glass walls. We just have our lathes and the workbench where we check the parts. Usually, the guys and I take a break around four when the tea cycle comes around. Rajajinagar has changed a lot since we opened, more traffic now and harder to find a spot for the delivery trucks to pull in. Sometimes we have to wait for the neighbors to move their bikes so we can get a crate out. It is a lot of back and forth with measurements and making sure the metal is right. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the work is right there on the floor. It's a simple setup and it works for what we need to do every day in this part of town.
