Udhayakrishna Engineering Works

We’ve been here at 2 Peera Naidu Street for quite a while now. Peelamedu is a busy spot, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the workshops around here. Most days start early with the sound of machines warming up. It’s a bit oily and noisy, but that’s just how engineering work goes. We handle whatever comes through the door, mostly metal parts and repairs that people need done. There isn’t much fancy about the place. You’ll see some old lathes and tools that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep things pretty straightforward. If someone needs a part fixed or a specific component made, we just get to it. Sometimes the floor is a bit cluttered with scraps, but we know where everything is. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who’ve been doing this long enough to not need much instruction. We don’t really spend time on big meetings or anything like that. We just work. The neighborhood is full of other small businesses like ours, so there’s always someone coming by for a chat or asking to borrow a tool. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes down the street. It’s just an honest day’s work in a part of town that understands what it means to get your hands dirty. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the machines running.
