Udawat Engineering Works

Udawat Engineering Works is tucked away in the 4th Phase of the Bommasandra Industrial Estate. You look for Plot No.78 and that is where we do all our fabrication and repair work. It’s a dusty place, as you’d expect from an engineering shop. We have lathes, welding sets, and all the usual tools scattered around. The floor is mostly concrete and it’s seen a lot of heavy parts over the years. We do a lot of custom jobs. People bring in a broken part or a rough sketch, and we see what we can do to make it right. It’s a small team of us here. We don’t really have a front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably find someone covered in grease or wearing a welding mask. Bommasandra is a big area, but everyone in our section knows each other. We help each other out with tools or advice when things get tricky. The rains sometimes leak through the roof a little bit, but we’ve patched it up as best we can. We aren't looking to be the biggest shop in the estate. We just want to do a solid job on the metalwork so the customers come back when they have something else that needs fixing. It’s honest work, and it pays the bills. We close up around six usually, unless there’s a big job that needs finishing.
