Twenty Four Seven Restaurant

Our restaurant, Twenty Four Seven, is located inside The Grand Hotel on Kumara Krupa Road in Bangalore. The name tells you most of what you need to know about how we operate, staying open through the day and the night. Kumara Krupa Road is a well-known area, and being in The Grand Hotel means we get people coming in at all sorts of strange hours. Sometimes it's a businessman who just landed at the airport at three in the morning and needs a meal, and other times it's local families coming in for a normal lunch on the weekend. The city of Bangalore doesn't really sleep much, and neither do we. The dining room has a lot of light during the day from the windows, but it gets a bit more subdued once the sun goes down and the streetlights come on. We don't go in for a lot of over-the-top stuff; it's just a place to get a meal whenever you happen to be hungry. The staff works in rotating shifts, so there is always someone around to help out with an order. We spend a lot of time keeping the coffee pots full and the tables cleared. It’s a lot of work to keep a place running all the time without a single break, but we’ve got a rhythm down that works. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place in town, just a reliable one where the doors are always unlocked for whoever walks in from the street at any hour.
