Our unit is located at Plot No. 155A in the KIADB Industrial Area. It’s out on the Jigani Link Road in Bommasandra. It is a long drive for some, but it’s where all the heavy industry happens. We work with machine tools. Our workshop floor is usually covered with metal shavings and oil, which is pretty standard for what we do. We have some big machines running most of the day. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of staff. It's just a small group of us making parts and maintaining tools. We've been at this plot for a good length of time now. The Jigani area has changed a lot, but we're still doing the same basic work. We don't spend money on fancy signs or office furniture. Most of our budget goes into the tools themselves. Sometimes we stay late to finish a batch of parts if a deadline is tight. We just handle the work as it comes in. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking sizes. We take it one job at a time and try to keep things moving smoothly on the shop floor. It is a loud environment, but we get used to the sounds of the lathes. We just focus on the task at hand and keep our tools sharp. It is just the way we like it out here.
