Travelbest

Our office for Travelbest is at No. 18 in Mahadevpura East. It is a small, simple room with a couple of desks and some old maps and calendars taped to the walls. We spend most of the day on our computers or on the phone trying to find the right bus routes or flight tickets for people. It is not a very exciting job, but it keeps us busy from morning to night. There is always a pile of paperwork or passports on the desk that need to be dealt with. People from the neighborhood walk in all the time to ask about train timings or the best way to get to the airport without getting stuck in traffic. Being in Mahadevpura for so long, we have learned all the little tricks about local travel. During the holiday seasons, it gets really hectic and the phone never seems to stop ringing. Sometimes the booking websites go down and we just have to sit there and wait, which is annoying for everyone involved. We don't have any shiny brochures or fancy leather chairs for people to sit in. It is just a practical place to get your travel stuff sorted out. We try to be as straightforward as possible about prices and timings because that is what people need. It is just us and our computers, doing the best we can every day to help folks get where they are going.
