Our place is at 39/42 in Phase-II of Electronic City. If you know this area, you know it’s the main hub for all things technical and engineering-related. Timken Engg. & Research - India Pvt. Ltd. is where we spend our days focusing on the more technical side of things. It’s a bit of a trek for some of us to get out to Electronic City, but once you’re here, it’s a very focused environment. We have a lot of computers and some specialized equipment for the research we do. It’s a mix of office space and lab-like areas where we test things out. The building is part of the larger Phase-II layout, which can be a bit confusing to navigate if you aren't used to it. We aren't really about the corporate flashiness. We just have our desks, our projects, and a lot of coffee to keep us going through the afternoon. The atmosphere is mostly quiet because people are usually deep into their work or looking at data. Sometimes we have meetings to discuss what we’ve found, but mostly it’s individual work. Being in Electronic City means we are surrounded by other people doing similar research and engineering work, so there’s a certain feeling of being in the right spot for this kind of thing. It’s a long day usually, but the work is interesting enough to keep us coming back.
