Tigerbay Restaurant

Tigerbay Restaurant is on the third floor of the Egk Prestige building on M G Road. We are situated right above the old Bombay Stores, so you have to look up to find us. Bangalore is a city that is always moving, and M G Road is right at the center of all that movement. Being up on the third floor gives us a little bit of distance from the street noise, though you can still hear the traffic if you listen closely. The space is a bit irregular in shape, which made it tricky to set up the tables, but we made it work. We have a small staff of people who have been with us for a long time. The kitchen is visible from some of the tables, so you can see the steam rising from the pots. We don't have any corporate branding or polished mission statements. We just show up every day and cook. The lift in the building sometimes acts up, so some of our guests end up taking the stairs. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed, with some old posters on the walls and simple lighting. On rainy days, the windows get all fogged up and the whole place feels very cozy. We aren't trying to be the most famous spot in the city. We are just a local restaurant where you can get a decent meal without any unnecessary drama. We spend most of our waking hours here, making sure the ingredients are prepped and ready for whoever wanders in.
