Thunder Institute Of Music

Thunder Institute Of Music is tucked away on Surat Street, near the Indira Nagar Masjid E. It’s a lively little spot. You can often hear someone practicing a guitar or hitting the drums from the sidewalk if the windows are open. We didn't start this to become a massive school. It was more about having a place where people could come and learn an instrument without it feeling like a strict classroom. We have a few rooms set up for different lessons. Some of the equipment is a bit worn out, but it still sounds fine. The instructors here are just local musicians who enjoy teaching. We don't have a big front desk or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and find someone. It gets pretty loud in the afternoons when the kids get out of school and come over for their sessions. We try to keep things relaxed. If a student wants to spend the whole hour learning one song, that’s okay with us. Surat Street has a lot of foot traffic, so we get people poking their heads in just to see what the noise is about. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors don't seem to mind the music too much. It’s just a small place for people who like sound. We don't have any big plans to expand, we just like the vibe we have right now.
