Rajalakshmi Home Made Chocolate

We make our chocolates at No. 15 on the Third Cross in Ayyappa Nagar. We are located right behind the Krishna Community Hall in the Fourth Block of Gangothri Layout. It is a quiet residential street, so you wouldn't really know there is a small chocolate business here unless you smell the cocoa. We started this because we enjoyed making things in our own kitchen. Now, the whole house often feels like a workspace with bowls, molds, and wrappers everywhere. It is a lot of handwork. We have to melt the chocolate, pour it into the shapes, and wait for it to set properly. Sometimes the weather is too humid and the chocolate doesn't behave like it should, which can be quite frustrating. We don't have big machines; it is mostly just us doing everything by hand. The Fourth Block is a nice place to live and work, and the neighbors are used to seeing us carry boxes to the gate. We spend a lot of time trying out different bits of nuts or fillings to see what tastes okay. It is not a factory by any means. It is just a home where we spend our hours making sweets. We pack them into small boxes ourselves and write the labels. It is tiring on the back to stand at the counter for so long, but it is what we do.
