The Phone Galleria

We’ve been at number 18 on Brigade Road for a good few years now. It’s a busy spot, especially on weekends when the crowd really picks up. Most days, we’re just here behind the counter dealing with whatever comes through the door. Someone’s phone screen is cracked, or another person can’t get their charger to work properly. It’s nothing fancy. Just a small shop filled with boxes of cases and cables hanging on the walls. We usually have the radio on in the background, but you can barely hear it over the traffic outside. My brother and I started this place because we knew a bit about electronics. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us and a couple of guys who help out with the repairs. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. We’ve thought about moving to a bigger place, but we like being right here on the main road. You see all sorts of people walking by. Some stop just to ask for directions, and that’s fine. We try to keep things simple. If we can fix a device, we do it. If we can't, we tell you straight. It’s a lot of work keeping up with all the new models coming out every month, but we manage. The lights flicker occasionally if the AC is running too high, but we’re used to it.
