If you walk down Margosa Road and take a turn at the 7th Cross in Malleshwaram, you’ll find us. Ashwath Trading Ltd. has been tucked away in this part of town for years. This neighborhood has changed a lot, but we’re still here doing the same thing every day. We trade in various items depending on what people are looking for at the time. The shop is usually full of boxes stacked up against the walls. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives, and we have to move things around just to find a chair. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Usually, the morning starts with checking what came in and what needs to go out. The 7th Cross can get pretty crowded with scooters and delivery vans, so we’ve learned to be quick with the loading. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and making sure the counts are right. We aren’t big on fancy decorations or anything. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the orders to worry about that. Most of our regulars are folks from around Malleshwaram who’ve been coming to us for a long time. We just try to be honest and keep things moving. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be part of the local market scene.
