Shyam Store is tucked away in the National Game Village in Koramangala. It’s a nice enough spot, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. We sell the usual things people need every day. It’s a small shop, so we know where every single item is kept on the shelves. Most of our customers are folks who live right here in the village or work nearby. It’s a pretty friendly atmosphere most days. We open up early and stay open until the evening. Sometimes the delivery trucks come at awkward times and we have to move things around quickly to make room. It’s just how running a store goes. We don't have any fancy displays or anything. We just put the stock out and make sure the prices are marked clearly enough. Koramangala is always busy, but inside the National Game Village, it feels a little bit quieter. We like that. We spend our time checking inventory and chatting with whoever comes in for a loaf of bread or some milk. There’s always something to do, like sweeping the front or rearranging the snacks. We don’t think much about being a big business. We’re just happy to be the local store that people can rely on when they run out of something at home. It’s a good way to spend the day and we plan to stay here.
