The International School Of Bangalore

The International School Of Bangalore is out in Nafl Valley. It’s along the Whitefield - Sarjapur Road, which is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city. We are close to Dommasandra Circle. The area used to be much quieter, but now there are more houses and shops popping up. The school grounds are quite big. We have lots of green space because we are away from the crowded center. It takes a while for the buses to get through the traffic at the circle, especially in the mornings. Once you get inside the gates, it feels a bit calmer. We have different buildings for different things. The air feels a little fresher out here in the valley compared to downtown Bangalore. We just go about our business every day. There is always some construction or maintenance going on somewhere on the property. That’s just how it is with a place this size. People call us TISB for short usually. The staff spends a lot of time coordinating schedules. It’s a lot of walking from one end to the other. We don't really do anything fancy for the sake of it, we just run the school. Sometimes the cafeteria runs out of the popular snacks by noon. It’s a busy place with people from all over. We just try to keep everyone on schedule and make sure the gates stay shut. There are a few stray dogs that hang around the entrance sometimes too.
