Plywood isn't the most exciting thing to talk about, but it's what we know. We deal with different grades of wood and make sure the manufacturing side is keeping up with what people are asking for. The office smells a bit like old paper and maybe a hint of wood dust if someone just came in from a site visit. We have stacks of samples sitting around, mostly showing different finishes and thicknesses. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phones to checking the shipping logs. Ellisbridge is a nice enough area, though the traffic on the slope can be a bit of a headache during the morning rush. We don't really have any fancy slogans or a big marketing team. We just know how plywood is made and we try to get it to the people who need it for their building projects. It's a lot of phone calls and ledger entries, keeping track of where the wood is coming from and where it’s going. We just try to stay busy and keep the business running. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and the tea gets cold, but we keep pushing through the pile of work. We’ve been at this quite a while.
