The Cocoa Tree

The Cocoa Tree is tucked away in Cooke Town on L B S Road. It’s a bit quieter than some other parts of the city, which we actually like. You can hear the birds sometimes in the morning before the traffic on L B S Road really starts to hum. We spend a lot of our time in the back, working with our hands and making sure everything smells right. It’s a bit of a small space, so we have to stay organized, or everything becomes a mess pretty quickly. We aren’t trying to be the biggest place in town. We just want to be a reliable spot for the people who live around Cooke Town. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to clean up or just sit for a minute with a cup of tea. We don’t use any polished language to describe what we do. We just make things and put them out for people to see. The neighborhood is full of old trees and people walking their dogs, and we feel like we fit in just fine. It’s a lot of work, and the hours are long, but being here on L B S Road feels right. We don’t have any fancy mission; we just show up, open the doors, and do the job as well as we can until it’s time to go home. Usually, we’re pretty tired by the end of the day, but it is okay because we like the neighborhood.
