The Chancery

The Chancery is located at 10/6 on Lavelle Road, right in the 560001 area. This part of town is usually quite busy with people heading to their offices or going out for lunch. We see a lot of fancy cars driving past, but inside here, things are more down to earth. We’ve got a lot of rooms to look after and the hallways are long. Every morning starts the same way with the laundry being moved around and the smell of breakfast coming from the kitchen area. We don't have a huge team, but we manage to get things done. The carpets have been walked on by thousands of feet over the years. You can see the paths where people usually go. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer behind the front desk. It isn't always exciting, but it keeps the place moving. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to restart the routers, which is always a bit of a headache. The lighting in the lobby is a bit yellow, which gives it an older feel. We like it that way. It’s a quiet spot once you get away from the main road noise. Most of the people who stay with us are just looking for a decent place to sleep without a lot of fuss. We try to provide exactly that without making things more complicated than they need to be.
