The Bangalore Times

The Bangalore Times is located at 126/7, right opposite the Jayanagar Police Station. We are on Lingappa Lane, which is off Rangaswami Street on the 26th Cross. Jayanagar is a great area to be in, and we’ve been here for a long time. Our office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and notes everywhere. That’s just how it is when you’re trying to keep track of everything happening in the city. We have a small group of people working here. It’s not a massive media house, just a local team doing our thing. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out and about. Being across from the police station means there’s always something going on nearby. We like the local feel of Rangaswami Street. You get to know the people who live and work around here. We don't try to be something we’re not. We just write about what’s going on and share what we find. Sometimes we get things wrong, but we always try to fix it. It's a fast-paced environment but we enjoy the buzz. Jayanagar has changed a lot, but the 26th Cross still feels familiar to us. We don't have a big corporate board or fancy meetings. We just sit around a table and talk about the news of the day. It’s a simple setup that works for us. If you’re ever near Lingappa Lane, you’ll probably see us heading out with our notebooks. We just keep at it, day after day.
