If you know Kempa Gowda Road, you know how loud it gets with all the traffic and the people rushing around at all hours. Prabhat Times is tucked inside the Prabhat Complex, specifically in units 106 and 107. We’ve been in this complex for a long time, back when the paint was still fresh on the corridors. Now, it’s got that lived-in feel, with some cracks in the floor tiles and doors that squeak when you open them. I like being in the complex because it feels a bit tucked away from the main road noise once you’re inside. My day usually starts by waving to the security guard and walking up to the shop. I spend a lot of time looking at tiny parts and making sure things are lined up right. It’s quiet work, which is a nice change from the chaos outside on the street. Sometimes people wander in just because they saw the sign while looking for something else in the building. We have two small rooms that are mostly filled with boxes and old papers that I really should throw away one day but never do. There’s a small window that looks out onto an alleyway, but it doesn't let in much light. We use these old desk lamps that have been here since the start. It's a humble setup, but it’s where I’ve spent most of my adult life. People around here call me by my first name.
