Pooja Times

Finding us isn't too hard if you're familiar with Chickpet. Pooja Times is located at 335 S S Arcade, on the first floor. We are right near the Rajdhani Lodge, which is a big landmark for anyone getting lost in these narrow streets. Chickpet is a maze, honestly. You have to navigate around the delivery cycles and the crowds, but once you get up to the first floor of the arcade, it’s a lot calmer. I’ve been running this place for a while now. The shop is filled with various clocks and watches, and the ticking sound is something I don’t even notice anymore, though visitors always mention it. I have a small workbench near the window where I do most of my work. The light is best there in the mornings. I keep my tools in an old wooden box that my father gave me. It’s a bit worn out, but it works better than any of the new plastic ones. There’s always a faint smell of machine oil in the air. I drink a lot of coffee throughout the day to keep my hands steady. Most of my customers are regulars who bring in things their grandparents owned. We don’t have a big fancy showroom; it’s mostly just shelves and the workspace. It’s a bit dusty, no matter how much I clean, but that’s just the nature of being in this part of the city. We just take things one day at a time.
