Target

Our shop, Target, is situated at Mahatma Gandhi Road 6. Being on MG Road means we are right in the thick of things. The street is always crowded with people walking and cars honking, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. It is a very old part of town and our building has been here for a long time. We handle a variety of items that people need for their daily lives. Most of our customers are folks who are just passing by on their way to work or the bus stop. We have a small counter where we stand and talk to people, and the shelves behind us are packed with all sorts of things. The lighting inside is a bit dim compared to the bright sun outside, but it keeps the place cool. We don't have a big marketing department or any polished slogans. It is just us working here every day, from the morning until it gets dark. Sometimes we have to move things around to make more space because the shop is quite narrow. We’ve seen many other businesses come and go on Mahatma Gandhi Road, but we are still here at number 6. We know most of the regular street vendors nearby and sometimes we share a snack in the afternoon. It is a simple life and a simple business, and we just focus on getting through the daily tasks one by one.
