Taj Tandoori Nites

Our place is at No.67 on 8th Main Road in Vasanth Nagar. It’s a small spot and we focus mostly on the tandoor. You can usually smell the smoke from the street before you even see the sign. Bangalore is always busy and Vasanth Nagar is no different. We have a lot of students and office workers who stop by in the evenings. The shop isn't very big, so people often end up standing around outside while they wait for their food. We have a few small tables but they fill up fast. The walls are a bit stained from the oven but that's just how it is when you cook with fire all day. We start prepping the dough and the meat early in the afternoon. By the time the sun goes down, the place is humming. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us handling the orders and the cooking. Sometimes we run out of things if it's a particularly busy night. We don't have fancy plates or anything like that. It's just simple food served hot. The 8th Main Road can get pretty cramped with parked bikes. We try to keep the sidewalk clear. It's a lot of work and our hands are always covered in flour or soot. But we’ve been here at 560001 for a good while and we know the neighbors. We just keep the fire going and serve whoever comes in.
