Taha Guitar Academy

Taha Guitar Academy is located in Nagarbhavi at 1320. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where the sound of music carries through the walls. We have guitars hanging on hooks and a few amplifiers scattered around the floor. Most of the time, the place smells a bit like wood polish and old carpet. Students come in carrying their cases, sometimes looking a bit tired after school or work. We don't have a fancy stage or expensive lighting. It’s just stools and music stands. Some of the strings are always breaking, so there’s usually a pile of old wire in the bin. We spend a lot of time tuning instruments and showing people where to put their fingers on the frets. Nagarbhavi is a nice enough area, and we get people from all over the neighborhood. Sometimes the neighbors complain if the volume gets too high, so we try to keep the windows shut. We don't have a big marketing plan or a polished image. We just like playing and teaching. The floorboards creak a little when you walk over them, and the chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We keep a notebook of who is coming when, and we just try to make sure everyone gets their time with the instrument without too much fuss. Music fills the rooms and we just focus on the chords and the rhythm every single day.
