About Swara Sadhana Music Academy – Education in Bengaluru
Started this place on Ram Mandir Road because there wasn't much for music around here in Jeevan Bhima Nagar. It's just a couple of rooms at number 212 where we keep the instruments. Usually, it's pretty quiet until the kids show up after school finishes. We’ve got some harmoniums that have seen better days but they still sound okay. My neighbor sometimes complains about the noise when the drums start, but most people on the street don't mind. It's a small setup. I spend a lot of time just tuning strings or cleaning the floor before everyone arrives. We don't have fancy carpets or soundproofing. It’s just us and the music. Some days the tea stall guy brings over snacks while we're practicing. People think running an academy is big business, but it’s mostly just making sure the fans work and everyone finds their notes. We've been here for a while now. The address is easy to find if you know where the temple road is. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic outside, so I’m always wiping down the benches. Sometimes students forget their books and I have to keep them in a pile by the door. It’s not a corporate office or anything. Just a local spot where people come to learn a bit of singing or play an instrument. We keep the doors open when it's hot. That's pretty much how we spend our days here in the colony.
