We are based in Cochin, specifically at Krishnakripa on Kalavathu Road in Palarivattom. The humidity here can be something else, especially when we are out in the yard or working on a piece of machinery. It is a typical engineering setup with a lot of heavy parts and the smell of oil in the air. We have some office space for the paperwork, but most of the real action happens where the tools are. Rain is a big factor in how we work; when the monsoon hits, everything slows down a bit because of the leaks we have to patch up. We deal with a lot of local projects and people who just drop by because they know we are here. It’s not the kind of place where you need an appointment most of the time. You just walk in and find someone who isn't too busy to talk. We have some old machines that still work better than the new ones, so we keep them running as long as we can. The tea breaks are important, and we usually sit around and talk about things other than work for a bit. It helps keep the stress down when a deadline is approaching. We’ve been on this road for a long time, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well enough for what we do. Engineering is mostly about solving problems as they pop up.
