Super Time Centre

It is situated right in the middle of Chickpet at number 639. If you've spent any time in Chickpet, you know how crowded the narrow lanes get with all the wholesale buyers and people moving goods around on trolleys. Super Time Centre has been operating from this same spot, and it’s a tight squeeze inside most of the time. We have watches and various clocks stacked up on the shelves and glass cases that have seen better days. The floor is a bit uneven, but it’s home for us. We spend most of the day looking through magnifying glasses at tiny gears and springs. It’s quiet, focused work in a very loud and busy neighborhood. People come in from the main street to escape the heat for a minute and ask about fixing an old watch their father gave them years ago. We don’t have a website or fancy brochures to give out. We just write down the receipts by hand and keep the old ledger on the desk to track things. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, which actually helps when you are staring at small clock faces all day long. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find the entrance because the signs around here are all piled on top of each other. We like the rhythm of the place, though. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work. We open up early, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer of the day to walk in.
