Sumith Bar

This bar is on Jama Masjid Road in Kalyan Nagar and we keep the lights low for most of the day. It is a simple place with a long wooden counter and a few rows of tables and chairs. Most of our customers come in after they finish their work shifts to sit for a while and have a drink. It can get pretty loud when the room is full but usually it is just a lot of low conversation. We keep all the bottles organized on the shelves behind the bar. The floor is dark stone and we spend our mornings mopping it and cleaning up the glasses from the night before. You can hear the noise from Jama Masjid Road clearly through the door including the motorbikes and the people walking by. We do not serve big meals here just some small things to snack on while people are drinking. The ceiling fans are old and they wobble a bit when we turn them on high during the hot months. We know the regulars who come in every day and we usually know what they want before they even sit down. It is a very predictable environment and we do not change much around here. By the time we lock the doors at midnight the street outside is finally starting to get quiet.
