Sujathas

Sujathas is up on the second floor of Shri Banashankari Towers. The building is at number 50/1, right near the J M Road Cross in Nagarathpet. Since we are on the second floor, you have to walk up the stairs, which keeps things a bit quieter than the street level. Nagarathpet is a very crowded place, so being a little bit above the ground is nice. We have been in this spot for some time now. People come to us for various things, mostly clothing and household items. The shop is laid out simply. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a place where you can come and browse without being bothered too much. Sometimes it gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. We see a lot of regular customers who live in the apartments nearby. It’s a nice feeling when people recognize you. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth seems to work well enough for us. The towers are easy to spot once you get to the cross. We just keep the place tidy and make sure we have what people are looking for. It’s a humble business, really. We just show up every day and do what needs to be done. No big plans, just keeping the shop running as it always has since the beginning. It is just our way of life.
